GO WIRED MASSACHUSETTS!
Stop the wireless rollout!
WHY ROLL BACK? Other countries have done so or are doing so, and there are multiple lawsuits against the FCC on this issue for good reason: scientists are finding and citizens are reporting terrible effects in spades. FCC guidelines ignore thousands of studies finding risks from common wireless exposures - the upper limit for a short exposure was set in the early 50s and has never been changed. Please see our testimony and links below for more.
POLITICAL STRENGTH: Note that we need to show support for our testimony into the future with numbers behind our testimony and work. We need volunteers and people who care. We have several bills requesting the state go wired and improve technology safety. Joining us or signing our testimony linked below as an individual, organization, etc., helps, as does asking others to sign or sharing the link, but better yet is to speak with your legislator. If you can call your representative for support or write testimony to for your representative to share, that helps, too. You can also attend hearings as well, even to give your 3-minute time to others (see events). Donations help, very much, with our ballot measure to promote independent evaluation of technologies and an independent voice for the environment.
WHY US? We prefer to speak with members directly to express our concerns and share our insights, to advance real change. Director Kirstin Beatty has experienced environmental sensitivities from wireless exposures, such as increased seizures, and thus has a sincere interest in effecting change. She has long critiqued and suggested amendments for some other legislation put forward as being too easy to manipulate on behalf of the telecommunication or utility industry, and has put forward original legislation as well. Co-chair Tatiana Cheeks has a long history of working for social justice on behalf of the poor, including most recently working for new mold regulations in the state. This kind of work is not work for which a person gets rich or gets accolades, and donations are needed. In contrast, there are many individuals who follow a different path, such as selling products to reduce exposures - while this is fine, public protest and action is necessary for change.

LEADERSHIP: We wrote bills years ago for screen time, medical recognition, etc., and some people followed our lead. Our work needs acknowledgement and support. We recognize and support the work of others on these topics, but we don't want to do all this work ourselves writing legislation and fail to have a strong backing for our work in order to pass the legislation. It would be a shame to have the models we put forward enacted in other states first. We need support on this tough issue. Please join and support us financially or with political strength.
